I have taken Introductory LaTeX course from Professor Dr ABM Shahadat Hossain, who is currently a professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Dhaka, and who also heads the Center for Mathematics Development Alternative. The course is structured in a manner that is easy to grasp. The content helps you learn the basics in easy, managable steps while also allowing you to go into the depths if necessary thanks to the wonderful instructions. For academic purposes such as writing papers or creating presentations this course is recommended.

I completed the Python course on CMDA BD taught by Dr. ABM Shahadat Hossain back in 2023, and it was a fantastic experience! The course was well-organized and great for both beginners and those wanting to improve their Python skills. Dr. Hossain explained everything very clearly, even the tough topics, making them easy to understand. The course covered a lot of important topics, from Python basics to advanced tools like Numpy, Scipy, and Matplotlib. The hands-on exercises and coding challenges helped me practice what I learned and made the concepts stick. Dr. Hossain also shared practical tips and realworld examples, showing how Python can be used in different situations. I also learned LaTeX through Dr. Hossain’s recorded tutorials and his beginnerfriendly book on scientific writing tools. It has been incredibly helpful for documenting my daily research in Applied Mathematics. I use these skills every day, and they have made my work much easier. At first, I was a bit apprehensive about the LaTeX and Python course in CMDA because I had no prior experience with either. However, as the course progressed, I found it incredibly engaging and beneficial. Now, I have a solid understanding of LaTeX, which allows me to create professional CVs, reports, articles, and even research papers effortlessly.
As an applied mathematics student, LaTeX has proven to be an invaluable tool for writing complex mathematical equations, creating well-structured tables, and producing high-quality figures. It has made tasks that once seemed daunting much more manageable and precise.
Additionally, learning Python has opened new doors for me in programming and data analysis.
